It was a day of mourning and weeping in Benue state today as 75 indigenes in the state who were killed in the Fulani herdsmen massacre that took place on New Year day and January 6th respectively, were laid to rest.
They were all laid to rest during a requim mass held at the IBB square in Makurdi.
It was attended by the state governor, Samuel Ortom, his wife and other government officials, as well as other residents of the state.
Thereafter the remains of the deceased were taken to a site where they were all buried.
